Google Latitude & IM

The latest release from Google known as Latitude has added a different spin on social networking. The idea of now having the ability of finding people in the same geographical area opens up a new ways of communicating.

The technology is not new. Something similar is being done with TheGrid but with Google's Latitude one gets all Google Apps included with the package. What this means is that one can now integrate geolocation with GTalk with Picasa etc.
